Life-size carved wood manger display over 100 years old from NY department store.
What a charming find! If you love C'mas, you need to visit this museum. This museum will put anyone in the holiday spirit! The layout is set with a specific path for all to follow. Easy to see from the main road and plenty of parking. There are rumors this museum will close in 2018. Double check this place is in fact open before you visit.
We have taken grown family and grandchildren over the years.
We have been coming here for the past few years and it has become one of our favorite Christmas traditions! It is room after room of Christmas items from the past & present. The collection includes items from all over the world, a huge train display, several nativity scenes, pictures with Santa and so much more. This attraction is clearly a labor of love. I am sorry to see that they may be permanently closing their doors on 1/8/18. There aren't many destinations like this around anymore, and it's sad when they're gone. I am hoping they find a way to remain open. We had a nice chat with the owner yesterday. Very nice guy! Get there while you can & experience the magic for yourself! The memories that you will take away are well worth the modest price of admission.
An awesome experience! An extensive collection imaginatively presented including historical documentation. We’ve lived here 20 years and had never visited but I’m telling you the around the world nativity collection alone is worth the admission.
Note: This may be the last year unless they get some investors since the owner wants to retire. Maybe you know the perfect person...
The National Christmas museum is 20,000 square feet. Allow a minimum of 1-1/2 to 2 hours to view the displays and shop-in the gift shop.
Get here before it closes for good! While I do objectively feel like the $12 admission price is a little steep, the museum is worth it. Unfortunately I think the price might make the museum less appealing to many people. I was also disappointed that they had a coupon on Entertainment Book which conveniently disappeared by the time I decided to go. For that reason the museum loses one star. I enjoyed the vintage Christmas decor and history of Santa but the best part by far comes at the end...exploring the religious side of Christmas. I especially loved seeing nativity sets from around the world.
Beautiful museum. Share Christmas memories from the past while browsing the extensive displays.
Visit with Santa. Photos available $16 and up for packages, or just talk to Santa for free.
Well worth the trip there!
Beautiful Manger collection from around the world.
Excellent train display and collections.
It's like going window shopping through the generations.
